Projects: Unannounced AAA Project (Sony Partnership)

Supported the development of a first-party AAA project in Unreal Engine by designing and implementing the player onboarding mission. Focused on mission flow, gameplay logic, and tool creation for rapid iteration and testing.

Key Contributions:

  • Built and refined the game’s introductory mission using Blueprints and trigger systems to control event logic, VFX/SFX playback, entity spawning, and cutscene sequencing.
  • Developed and maintained a test map to evaluate player mechanics, including movement speed, jump height, incline traversal, and collision edge cases.
  • Collaborated with design, engineering, and QA to ensure gameplay systems were intuitive, reliable, and technically sound.
  • Provided actionable feedback to engineering on blueprint optimizations and data flow improvements.

Achievements:

  • Improved onboarding clarity and gameplay pacing for new players.
  • Delivered a functional prototype that established design standards for subsequent mission scripting.
